Curriculum leadership

The Australian Curriculum sets the expectations for what all students should be taught, regardless of their background or where they live. Schools use the Australian Curriculum to plan for student learning at many levels, including whole-school curriculum, year-level, learning area/subject, unit, classroom and lesson, and individual student. A whole-school approach to curriculum planning increases and promotes consistency, which supports teachers in improving outcomes for all students.

This resource supports school and curriculum leaders in developing collaborative approaches to implementing the Australian Curriculum. It is designed to guide discussions and planning at a whole-school level, helping leaders identify priority areas based on their school’s needs.
