This portfolio of student work shows that the student uses written and spoken Vietnamese to initiate and sustain interactions with teachers, peers and adults in familiar contexts (WS2, WS4, WS5). The student uses modelled and spontaneous language to engage in discussions, seeks clarification, offers opinions (WS1, WS4, WS5), compares experiences related to familiar, and expresses agreement or disagreement (WS2, WS4, WS5). The student interacts with others to carry out transactions and to plan and organise social or cultural events by negotiating options, and explaining and justifying opinions (WS2, WS4, WS5). The student applies appropriate pronunciation in spoken Vietnamese, including intonation patterns, tones and pauses (WS4, WS5). The student analyses information and ideas obtained from diverse sources, comparing and evaluating different perspectives related to common areas of interest and study (WS1, WS2).
