In Years 5 and 6, students develop critical awareness of how multimedia is being used in their home, school and community environments. They consider the benefits that using multimedia can bring and identify potential issues and challenges. They develop their understanding of how different multimedia formats can be used effectively in a range of contexts and use their knowledge as they communicate, connect and create in and through multimedia formats. They develop technical production skills and begin to make connections between their use of multimedia and the ways it is used for communicating, connecting and creating across industry and social settings.
