Years 3 and 4
Typically, students at this stage become more independent and communicate with others more effectively. They continue to explore personal and social factors that support and contribute to their identities and emotional responses in varying situations. They are encouraged to value and respect difference in others. They draw on their growing experience of the community and use observations and information sources to develop understanding of health-enhancing and safe decisions and behaviours including online. They explore knowledge, understanding and skills that support them to build and maintain respectful relationships. They identify problems and develop greater self-reliance in how to solve them.
